Mommy's Birthday

My Mommy turned 33 yesterday and all she wanted to do was go shopping in Caltagirone! So Daddy and I took her to the market and bought her a pair of boots and a pocket book! We had pastries and cappuccino's at her favorite bar! We came home for riposo and then went back that evening to shop at the ceramic shops. Daddy got her a tile and a shingle from Mineo! We went out to dinner and then when we got home we sang happy birthday to her. Daddy had her Fancy Cakes with candles!!! It was funny and Mommy said it was a perfect day!

Daddy's Work Farewell Party

The guys from Daddy's work must be sad Daddy is leaving. They took him to play golf last week and then had a Farewell Lunch for him too! After we ate lunch they said a lot of nice things about my daddy and then gave him a Wallyball plaque. Then Daddy had some things to say. Mom says what Daddy said was very nice but I don't know because I was checking out the icing on the CLEMSON cake they had for Daddy! We had a good time and Daddy is really going to miss these guys!

Lo and Behold Something HAD to happen...

12 days until we ship our car and something had to happen. Daddy's co-workers took him to play golf on Friday instead of working and on the way back the car was wobbling. Mom and Dad were hoping that it was something we could wait and fix in the states but we went to dinner at Family Restaurant and on the way back it was much worse. When we got home mommy noticed a big bubble in a back tire. So, we have to get a new tire tomorrow. Mom and Dad were frustrated but said we were so lucky that it didn't blow. They could have been spending a lot more money or I could have been hurt! So, Daddy put the spare on and I helped him! I did a pretty good job too! It will be all better tomorrow!

WOW!! What a Weekend!!!

And I thought they were going to make me sit in that empty, cold stinking house all weekend!!! Saturday Mommy and Daddy decided they would take me to see a movie! They didn't ask me if I wanted to sit through an hour and a half of a movie about talking Bee's. They thought it was pretty funny but I see enough cartoons so after a half an hour, I was outta there! Glad I was because I got to ride the Merry-Go-Round and play arcade games! It was FUN! Then we went to Applebees for a late lunch! I got a balloon and had a really good time driving mom and dad crazy! Actually they said I was pretty good and gave me all kinds of kisses! Dang, better try harder next time!

Sunday morning I could not figure out what they were doing. They put pajamas on me and socks over my pants like Pop does and then wind pants over that and layers and layers of clothes! We rode for almost 2 hours until we were in a winter wonderland! They took me to Mt Etna to go sledding! It was so pretty! Snow was everywhere and people were sledding and skiing! We were really missing Sissy and wishing she were with us. She would have had so much fun! Dad stopped and bought 2 of the smallest sleds possible, we were sure wishing for our toboggan Noni gave us. When we finally found a place to park and get out I wasn't so sure about this slippery stuff! Mom and Dad thought it was the greatest but it was COLD and windy and slippery!!! I was over it! So after mom and dad went down the hill a few times we left and went down to a spot where I could stand on the road and play with the snow! I liked it much better especially kicking the snow balls!

Since we were "out that way" we headed to the mall. Mommy just knew she would find SOMETHING since it is Sconti (Sale) Season! But after walking in almost half the stores, we left with no bags! Typical! At least we won't have to go back but she keeps saying something about TJ Maxx! I sure hope it is not another big shopping place where she can spend ALL day!

A Hard Days Work...

I had to keep them all straight! There were 8 Italians in our house packing up all our things! Mom fed them GG's Vegetable Soup and Corn Bread and they took a nice LONG break to play cards before resuming!!!

Before I knew it another truck was here bringing us beds and dressers and a couch and lamps etc... We have a house again! Well it is not as nice as our old house but it will do for 22 days! And what is cool is that I can throw balls in the empty rooms and everything echos!!! And to top it off, I get to sleep with Mommy and Daddy!!! The crib they brought me is WAY to small and I can crawl out of it with no problem! Mom and Dad are so excited I get to sleep with them!




It was a long hard day...I just couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. I was worn out. From the trip back to Italy, being sick and now the big move...it was time for a nap! A long, long nap!

SANTA CLAUSE IS COMMING TONIGHT???

We opened lots of gifts and saw lots of people. I had a lot of fun tearing open the presents AND I got lots of cool stuff! I am beginning to really like Christmas even though Mom and Dad keep saying that presents are not what it is all about! Sissy keeps telling them it is about Jesus but I sure think opening all these presents is FUN!

We even got a letter from Santa Clause!! Real from the North Pole!

One of the coolest gifts we got was a tobogan!! No not a hat you silly southerner but a REAL sled! Noni got it for us hoping we would get snow in Norfolk. Even if we don't mom says she will find it somewhere! And she will probably torture us with Christmas Pictures on it next year! It is even engraved with "The Curti Family 2007"! What a neat gift!

We were at Elliot's house having our Christmas party with the Lynam Family and the Bateman's. We were just getting ready to leave when the phone rang. Zeke answered it and said it was Santa. You should have seen Sissy. After he hung up he told Sissy that we had to go get to bed because Santa was coming early, he was coming TONIGHT!!! I still didn't get it but by the look on Anna's face and all the times she jumped up and down and shouted I knew it must be something good! We rushed home and went to bed, well I did anyway, Sissy had a hard time...

Boy am I so glad that I did't scream at Santa again! Now I know what all the excitement is about! He brought me toys! He brought me a work bench, kind of like his but just my size, and a basketball goal, a Mega Blocks Race track with cars and a 4-wheeler! I couldn't believe my eyes! He brought Sissy stuff too. She painted on her new art easel ALL day long and got pretty good on her stilts.

Then we had MORE presents to open! GG and Pop got Elliot and I Clemson Tri-cycles!!! I love mine even though it is too big! Colin got me a radio flyer one that is smaller so I will have one to learn on and one for when I grow a little bit bigger! Sissy pushed me all around the house on it! The big boxes in the back of the tree we knew were train sets! GG and Pop tricked us all good this time! They suprised us with flat screen HD TV's! One for the Curti's and one for the Lynam's! WOW we were shocked! GG and mama actually got a little choked up! They are weird! Daddy got a Wii too! I hope I get to play one day!

It was such a wonderful Chrsitmas! We got to see lots of family and even saw Aunt Sassy and her new boyfriend! We were sure busy but I am so glad we went home. Now 1 month until we move to Virginia and start another adventure.

They took me to see that JOLLY old man AGAIN!!!

So they took us to see Santa AGAIN! This time we got to go to Santa's workshop though. Sissy was with me and we sat up at his workbench and painted and played. I didn't even know Santa came out but when I realised he was there I was ready to RUN! Sissy sat and talked to him for a bit and then he tried to lure me with candy! I took the candy but kept my distance.
