Way to start off the season TIGERS!!!

Picture from my phone of Sullivan taking Mike's blood pressure during the game!!!
I can not even believe this football game. To have been ranked 9 and go out there and play like a bunch of pansies! I am so angry at the coaches and players at Clemson right now. They went out there arrogant - coaches and players - and did not have the passion, desire or will to win this game. I can not believe to be such an amazing school and athletic program that we (IPTAY paying fans) have to sit around and watch the garbage we watched tonight. To see our players arguing and pouting on the sidelines and truly not even getting into the game is an absolute embarrassment. They looked like a bunch of spoiled little brats who did not get their way! Sometimes you have to put a little effort into something to get your way!!!! There was no leadership on the field and no one know what in the hell was going on. Thank goodness we have easier teams to play this next month. Maybe our girls can get their head out of their asses and play some football. We have so much talent that is just wasted on arrogance!!! I am so so mad right now! So mad that The Clemson Tigers wasted my time tonight and obviously a lot of other people since the stands were practically empty long before the game was over. Damn it boys, you have so many people so so excited to see you play, show up next time!!!!!

Four Wonderful Years

Four years ago I married the man of my dreams, my knight in shining armor, my very best friend! I can not believe it has been 4 years already. Our babysitter couldn't keep Sullivan on Thursday night so we went out on Wednesday to celebrate instead! We decided to try out a new restaurant recommended to us by our good friends Sean and Kyla Phillips. It is a restaurant called Fresh - Tapas and Tonics and is where they went on their first date. Mike and I had never been to a tapas restaurant before so we were excited and didn't really know what to expect. I had to keep telling him it was Tapas, NOT topless!!! It was a very small restaurant, a nice intimate setting for a date and we had impeccable service. The food was amazing as well although we ordered a few too many things. Again our first time at a tapas. We had Pepper Caprese, Tuna Nachos, Fried Calamari, Lobster Tail, Asparagus, Potato Hash, Brie with Roumalade and fruit and Chocolate Cake a la mode for dessert. Oh and I had the BEST blackberry martini ever! It was delish!!! It was so nice to be able to enjoy our food and conversation with out pulling Sullivan out from under the table or trying to get him to quit yelling. He gets quite excited when we go out to eat. We were able to hold hands and talk and just really enjoy each others company. After we ate we decided to go to a local bar called Hot Tuna. We just wanted to go check out a band and see what the locals do around here. The bar was small and everyone there seemed to know each other except us. Snackbar Joones started playing about 10 and was AWESOME!!! Unfortunately babysitters are not free so we had to head home at 11. We had a really good evening though. Some well needed adult conversation and flirt time! On Friday, our actual anniversary I had a job interview. (It went well but I have decided that this is not a job that will be good for our family) After the interview Mike gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a cookie cake! YUM!!! We watched out wedding video and laughed so hard and cried some too. Our wedding was such an amazing time and we really enjoyed looking back. So much has changed since then. For one, Anna has grown up so much! She is still as beautiful as ever. I truly had the most beautiful bridesmaids! Our families are amazing!!! It was tough for us to see Kurt, especially when he talked at the end. It is still so surreal that he is not with us anymore. Sullivan watched it with us and would point out GG, Pop and Noni and get all excited. He got really excited when he saw me in my dress and veil. It was so cute! It is so weird that he was not there. Seems like he has been apart of us forever now. I can not imagine life with out that little guy! Or my amazing husband. I truly am the luckiest girl in the world! It was a wonderful anniversary and I look forward to many many more wonderful years with Mike. The memories will always be with us as we make many many more. Thanks to all our friends and family who have supported us and helped us be where we are today! We miss you all! And thank you Mike for being you! I could not have asked for more!
(If would have been a better celebration if NC State had beat USC though!!!)

Take Picture Choo Choo

I could not figure out what he was saying but I walked into the living room and he posed for me and I figured it out! He wanted his picture taken with Choo Choo and Elmo. For once he poses and doesn't look down when I try to take a picture!

The end of a wonderful summer...

This past weekend our wonderful summer having Anna here came to an end. We had so much fun with her this summer that it went by so fast. It was so sweet to see she and Sullivan bond so much this summer. I know they are going to miss each other so much. We left Virginia Beach on Friday and headed with both kiddos and the pups to the Santee. We got to the Santee and enjoyed the rest of our day there with Pop and G.G. Pop took us on a boat ride at Sullivan's request. We decided we would go to "pottery island" and show the kids and Mike how we used to search for arrow heads and such when we were little. Our wonderful idea turned bad when we realised we were in a foot of water and we needed to back out immediately. As we backed out we hit a stump and could not get the boat turned around for all the stumps. They got the best of us and tore a prop off the propeller of the boat. We very slowly got out of there not doing any other damage to the boat. We slowly and I mean slowly made our way back home, the sun was going down and we were all getting hungry. Anna decided if she paddled we would get there quicker. Of course we knew it probably wouldn't help but if she wanted to paddle go for it! I guess some fishermen saw the boat of adults and the kid paddling and decided to help us. They tied us to them and towed us home. Had to have been a sight, this little john boat pulling a pontoon! We did get home quicker... Another wonderful pontoon boat memory!
We got up Saturday morning and headed to Noni's house. After spending some time with her we headed to see Mike's sister Diane and her kids and Jeanine's new baby. Man those Curti gene's are strong. She is a beautiful baby and they all seemed to be doing well. We then did the one thing we didn't want to do and took Anna home. She was so excited to see her mommy. It must be so hard for her to have to always miss someone. After unloading the car her Papa took us to show Sullivan the goats and "Ugly" Anna's chicken! It's name is Ugly for a reason! We said our goodbyes and pulled out and as we did Sullivan broke down in the saddest cry ever. He screamed for Sissy and cried until we finally gave in and called her. It was so pitiful. Broke my heart into pieces. He did calm down after talking to her but has not let a day go by without asking for her. He really misses her. We picked up Noni which made him happy and went to see Tina's house. She just bought a beautiful house in Anderson. It must be so bittersweet for her. My heart aches for her but I am so glad she is able to get a house that she is excited about. She is such a stong woman with amazing faith. After spending some time with her we headed out, had dinner with Noni and then got on the road. Even though it was a quick visit it was nice to see everyone. Sullivan crashed in the car and slept the whole way back to the Santee. Sunday we RELAXED!!! Something Mike and I do not seem to know how to do very well. Mom and I went to Manning and picked up Elliott and while we were there Mr Scott(Brett's Dad) took us to show Sullivan the cows. Mom and I road in the back of the truck with the boys! Sullivan thought that was the greatest! Mr. Scott called the cows over and they all came a mooing! The kids loved it and mooed with them! Sullivan waved bye bye to the cows and blew them a kiss before leaving. Zeke and Brett came in that afternoon after a vacation to the beach. We relaxed and played and spent time with the family. Before the sun was up Monday we were headed back to Virginia. Even though it was a very nice visit with everyone, it was too short! We seriously need a vacation!!!!

Girl Day While the Boys Sleep

Daddy didn't get any sleep today after working all night so while he and Sullivan slept we decided to go out for a girls day. Since Anna was feeling so pretty after her new hair style I decided to take her to get her first Manicure and Pedicure! It was great! She felt so so special!
She loved the chairs that massaged and the nice lady painted flowers on her big toes.
What a great girl day!

The kiddos get haircuts!

Sullivan desperately needed a hair cut so we took both kids to get cute. Sullivan did fantastic this time and got a great haircut. Just as I asked! Still long but off his ears and neck. He looks like we actually take care of him now! Ha Ha! Anna had a few inches cut off of hers and had layers put in the bottom and around her face. WOW what a difference. She looks so beautiful! She loves it and feels so pretty. She goes in the bathroom to brush it every 5 minutes. Too funny!

2 Yeal Old Check Up and SHOT!!!

I had a very good 2 year check up! My doctor said I was very healthy and right on track developmentally. YEAH me! I had to get a shot too. It hurt, I cried and then I got a sticker and a sucker and I was good to go!

BUSCH GARDENS EUROPE

GG babysat Sullivan on Thursday so we could take Anna to Busch Gardens Europe! It was so much fun! We were thee right after the doors opened and we tried to do everything there was to do. We went to an aviary to see the pretty birds and you could hold them. I had no plans to hold a bird since I have a weird fear of birds but...they had other plans. Two surprised me and jumped on my back. I was a little freaked out at first but....got over it and actually held one. It wasn't so bad and they were so beautiful!

The Alpengeist Roller Coaster! The first time we tried to ride this one Anna was gung ho until we got near it and she started crying because she was scared. We didn't make her ride it but later on she decided to and she loved it! We rode it with her 3 times, the last time in the front! What a thrill! We also rode every roller coaster there except the Griffon. It was closed for maintenance!
Anna riding the swings.... Crying before a ride that she didn't even know what it was. There were 4 and 5 year olds in front of us. She is so silly and a typical dramatic girl! She LOVED the ride by the way! It was a 4 D movie ride about Ireland.

Loving getting wet like all kids do!

We had a blast and will miss her so much when she is gone!

Tanks GG for my new bike!

As if he needed another one but this one is different and he LOVES it. It is a spiderman bike that he found in a consignment shop, while luckily shopping with GG because she bought it! It makes all kids of motorcycle and spiderman noises! He was not leaving the store with out it. Now the first thing he says when he wakes up is "Wanna ride bike, ride bike mama." He is so cute and it makes him so happy! Man I need to have a yard sale. OF course he got other new toys this week with GG here too. IT was so nice to have GG here. We miss you GG.

Gone Golfin'

Sissy has been taking golf lessons this summer and I am not old enough to play with her. Mom and dad take my "hit hit" (golf clubs) and I get to play at the driving range for an hour. It is pretty fun! Especially this time because G.G. came too and there were puddles to play in. They say I am pretty good too so maybe I can take lessons next year.
